Cursor's agent mode is tied to its own backend; custom endpoints work only on some older builds.
Cursor's Agent / Composer modes run on its own backend. A custom OpenAI endpoint affects plain chat on some older builds only, and behaviour changes between releases. We do not guarantee this path.
Why it is incompatible
Cursor performs completion, agent runs and code indexing on its own servers; the in-app "OpenAI API Key" covers only a small slice of that. After pointing it at a third party, agent mode usually errors out or silently falls back to the official models — a product decision, not a configuration problem.

If you still want to try
Cursor → Settings → Models → enable Override OpenAI Base URL, enter https://www.starunion.net/v1 and your console key, then click Verify. A successful check only means plain chat works.
